The interim Project Manager is very good at driving processes, which was what we needed to get a good basis for decision-making.
A waste management company had terminated the agreement with Danish 5 cities and the situation was critical.
The decision had to be made whether the municipals should make a new offer to the waste management company or establish a new joint company themselves. This required a complex-decision process involving the mayors and administrations of the 5 cities and it was urgent. Economy, different levels of service and the legal practical task to establish a joint municipal partnership had to be considered.
The Municipal Director of one of the cities engaged an interim Project Manager with extensive experience in the municipal world. By facilitating the decision-making process, the interim PMO provided the politicians with the needed information and documentation.
After 6 months, the decision was made to start a joint company, and the interim PMO continued to support the new company in getting started.

„This was not the kind of task I could place on a unit and ask them to solve it. I had to have someone sitting close to me who could drive the process forward very quickly. The interim Project Manager is very good at driving processes, which was what we needed to get a good basis for decision-making. Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships were also very important to us. We did not need an expert in waste handling.“
„It was a task that I knew that I could solve. I know the municipal sector well and I understand the administrative processes.“
